One of the comic industry’s most passionate creators, artists and designers with over 150 publications still being published today, Ralph Cabrera has successfully migrated from the world of comics to other media. If you’ve seen Coca-Cola, Geico, Baptist Health, Charmin’ Ultra Soft, McDonalds, Burger King or other commercials, then chances are, you have seen the final result of one of Ralph’s many storyboards.
For over 10 years Ralph worked for Marvel Comics, and soon after joined DC Comics for 2 years. Ralph inked many comics including: Conan, Captain America, Quasar, Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy and Infinity War.
Ralph has held numerous conferences, public art classes, and co-created ten books. One of these books is "How to get into and Graduate from College in 4 Years" with Martin J. Spethman published in 1996.
In 2003, Ralph launched his official website, which has been an active medium for the selling of original Marvel & DC comics, commissions, prints, caricatures, and more.
Throughout the years, Ralph has endeavored in extreme sports apparel design featuring wake-boarding and skate-boarding professionals. Due to advertising intuition helped acquire such Commercial projects such as Nike Swim Miami, Board Up Miami, Miami Open, and The International World Cup.
In 2016, Ralph completed his first self-published children’s book in collaboration with his wife Mary Lopez. The publication is called “My Mommy’s Having Twins,” and shares with children and parents the story of child infertility and faith. The book was created as a way to support and remind readers that truly anything is possible, through faith.
In 2017, Ralph began teaching art classes for students of all ages at the Miami Made Public Library System. He lectures at many venues and enjoys showing others how art has helped him give back. Ralph has worked with the Easter Seals, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, La Liga Contra el Cancer plans for local community projects, and the restoration of the Marine Stadium in Key Biscayne.
Ralph supports literacy programs and career days by attending them and encouraging our future generations that they can achieve their dreams if they work hard and persevere.
From teaching children how to draw at the Coconut Arts Festival, to being sponsored by local schools, Ralph enjoys the ability to give back to the his community. His interests include: Mountain Biking, Swimming, playing Dominoes, traveling in his RV with his family, being a Grandfather and of course, reading a classic comic book.
